Subject: Riscstation 7500 computers
We're going to have a play with the Riststation R7500 computer, including a look at its sound sampling capability. These machines are not as commonplace as Risc PCs, so just to make sure that you don't miss your opportunity to get up close and personal with them - we're actually going to have two of these at the meeting! The machines have recently benefitted from a fresh install of original software after the damaged install CD data was finally recovered.

Subject: Hands on night with AppBasic
This month we're trying something with a bit of a difference... We're hoping to have a small number of machines all with AppBasic and working in small groups with lots of help on hand, will try to create a simple program running in the WIMP to demonstrate how easy it is to create multi-tasking WIMP programs using AppBasic.
We're going to take a step by step approach to a very simple task and this is something which everyone should be able to do with a little assistance. Even if you've written a computer program before, don't be afraid, come and have a go at some basic (BASIC) programming.

Next meeting: 19th February 2008
Subject: Programming - What's involved
This month we're going to discuss the practicalities of programming, tools used, concepts and how different people go about programming.
Deletions:
Next meeting: 20th February 2008
Subject: Cash Book - Home accounts program
This month we're going to take a brief look at Steve Fryatt's Cashbook application, initially on the A9Home to investigate a possible issue one user has had with this software and hardware combination.
Also at the meeting we may be taking a look at a user's A7000 machine and performing a little maintenance. Additionally, we've recently acquired some hardware and software for which we've been asked to find good homes and donate proceeds to charity, so we're hoping to make this available to members - please bring along a little money if you may be interested in bargain software / hardware.
19th March 2008 - TBA
